Fans found Charlie’s Angels star Jaclyn Smith unrecognizable when she stepped out for some Christmas shopping this week. The 78-year-old wore a black turtleneck sweater and matching pants, with a black coat over it.
Smith accessorized with brown boots and a cream-coloured leather bag as she strutted the streets of Los Angeles. The TV icon looked stunning in her lush blonde hair and showed off her glowing skin covered in minimal makeup, which caused fans to wonder if she worked on her face.
On seeing her photos from the paparazzi, social media users started to speculate on whether Smith underwent cosmetic procedures after marrying her doctor husband, Brad Allen. “I always thought she was the most beautiful of the Angels, however, she may deny having a facelift but she has done something to her face sadly,” a concerned fan wrote.
A person said they “would never have known it was her,” while someone else implied that her husband influenced the changes being noticed; however, he has only ever analyzed her skincare since they married. “He undertook the project as a labor of love, and being a doctor was perfect for doing it,” Smith once said of her beau. Amid the criticism, some fans simply complimented her with kinder words about her appearance.
Smith, who celebrated her 26th year as Dr. Brad Allen’s wife in October, spoke about how she has remained youthful over the years in 2022. She told The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine that she has avoided cosmetic intervention and never went under the knife. “I don’t believe in fillers and I haven’t done any cutting. If I put anything in my face, I use my own fat, which is hard to do,” she explains.
She also admitted to being “afraid” of Botox because her husband says, “If you do Botox over and over, it totally collapses the muscle.”
“You can overdo it in this town like nobody’s business. And when you get done it’s not a good look,” she added.
In February 2022, Smith revealed via Instagram that the secret to her gorgeousness was regular exercise, yoga, and a green smoothie that gives her “a boost of energy.” The mother of two says she began paying more attention to her health after her breast cancer diagnosis two decades ago. “It’s part of my history and it changes you. You need to seize the day. And we need to be more grateful. Maybe we all complain a little too much,” Smith said.
