Joan Collins Looks Unrecognizable As She Rocks A Blonde Wig

In a bid to imitate Linda Evans’ Krystle Carrington from the ‘80s classic Dynasty, Joan Collins wore a blonde wig that made her look unrecognizable in a recent comedy sketch. A stand-in played Joan’s character from the series, Alexis Carrington Colby, who often frustrated Krystle in the movie.

The 90-year-old star admired herself in the mirror and flaunted her new blonde look. “Oh Alexis. I love it. My hair looks fantastic,” she gushed. “It’s so punk. I never knew you were so talented. It’s a whole new me.”

Joan’s hair had undergone a handful of transformations, including last year’s when she ditched her signature fringe curls for a straighter, longer look. She shared the look in an Instagram photo featuring friends around a dinner table and having a good time.

She also went blonde for a film part in 2021, causing the internet to compare her hair to that of old Hollywood bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. Joan played Anna, the leading character’s grandmother in the movie titled Tomorrow Morning, another film version of the 2006 off-West End musical.

Not slowing down anytime soon

Joan is one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema and has aged gorgeously over the years. She believes there’s “too much fuss about aging” these days because she sees people in their 90s and hundreds doing “amazing things.”

Per retirement, she has insisted on working for as long as she wants; however, she did admit to slowing down due to aging. “I want to work and I like to work compared to what I was doing in ‘Dynasty’, I’m a snail. I’ll keep working if I’m asked,” she said on Louis Theroux’s BBC interview series.

She also clapped back at critics who question women like her for being ambitious. “People always talk to women about ambition as if it’s a dirty word. I’ve never ever seen a man accused of being ambitious,” Joan explained, adding that she simply “wanted to be successful” and “make a living and in a world that I enjoy.”
