Tim Curry’s early acting career was marked by his success on the stage, particularly in London’s West End. He gained critical acclaim for his role as Mozart in the original production of Amadeus, earning him a Tony Award nomination.
His theatrical prowess extended to Shakespearean plays, where he showcased his talent in productions such as As You Like It and Twelfth Night. However, the 77-year-old’s life took a different turn, as he has been battling several health challenges in recent years which have seriously impacted his life and ability to continue in his career.
Tim Curry suffered a stroke
In 2012, the actor suffered a stroke, which left him paralyzed, and he had to resort to a wheelchair for mobility. In a 2013 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, one of his representatives disclosed that he was making notable strides in his recovery, indicating positive progress from the major health setback. “He has been going to physical therapy doing very well and still has his great sense of humor,” they told the news outlet. “He thanks everyone for sending good wishes.”

I hope not to have to use it.”
