A daughter shared a touching video of her mom taking her last breath and gazing upwards as she muttered, “Angels.” The dying mother stretched her hand with a quiet, peaceful demeanor and expressed what she could see in soft whispers.

Whether she was really having a vision or seeing illusions, one cannot tell; however, the moment preceding the woman’s death appeared surreal. It is not uncommon for such occurrences to happen, as reported by other people, particularly in the medical field.

There have been several speculations about what happens right before death, with some hospice nurses revealing their experiences with patients in their care. A registered nurse from Los Angeles, Julie McFadden, who has worked with dying patients for over five years, shared such encounters on her TikTok.

Julie, who previously spent more than a decade as an ICU nurse, confirmed some people claim to see their already dead relatives before they pass. Her patients often report that their late loved ones say things like, “We’re coming to get you soon,” or, “Don’t worry, we’ll help you.”

Nurse Julie went further to explain that patients’ relatives often receive educational packets warning them of the possibility of such moments. “This happens so often that we put it in our educational packets so they understand what’s going on,” she said. “But we don’t know why it happens and we can’t explain it.”

Just like in the clip, where the daughter tells her mother, “I don’t see anything, mom,” Julie says only they can see what they refer to. “Sometimes it’s through a dream, and sometimes they can physically see them, and they’ll actually ask us, ‘Do you see what I’m seeing?’” she added. “Most people love this, they’re very comforted by it, it’s not scary to them. But yeah, we can’t explain it and it happens all the time.”
