Carol Burnett’s Daughter Says She Is Sober And Ready To Fight For Her Son

Enduring a childhood marked by the challenges of alcoholic parents, the renowned actress Carol Burnett is facing the distressing reality of witnessing her own children succumb to the same affliction. One of her daughters, Erin Hamilton, grappled with severe substance abuse and addiction, undergoing a tumultuous journey through eight instances of rehab and institutionalization spanning nearly two decades. The gravity of Hamilton’s struggles prompted Burnett to take decisive action, culminating in her pursuit of legal guardianship for her grandson, Dylan, particularly in the aftermath of her daughter’s harrowing suicide attempt.

Amid the tribulations, the 55-year-old committed herself to a rehabilitation facility, a pivotal decision that initially garnered mixed sentiments. However, in a recent revelation, Hamilton, whose visitation rights with her son were revoked for six months after violating a judge’s strict visitation guidelines, has expressed her eagerness to rebuild and strengthen the fractured bonds with her son.
