Sir Tom Jones is back on the British version of The Voice as he joined Anne Marie, will.i.am, and Olly Murs in the show’s most recent episode. While fans were glad to see Sir Tom’s return to the spinning seats, they could not help but notice a mark on his cheek.
Several viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their concern about the scar, which Sir Tom paid no mind to as he offered up a judges’ performance of “Stairway to Heaven” and passed his opinion on competitors. “What’s that new spot on Tom’s face? Hope it’s ok…#TheVoice,” someone wrote.

Aside from the unusual appearance, Sir Tom garnered admiration for his voice and stage presence at 83. “Sir Tom Jones 83 years of age and still has some pipes what a legend #thevoiceuk,” a fan gushed. “#SirTomJones amazing as usual!!! Get him to do an audience with show, would rather listen to Tom singing the hits than many of these auditions #TheVoiceUK,” another added.
Sir Tom has been candid about his health
Sir Tom has had his share of health and aging problems in recent years and has been fairly open about them. Last year, he shared a post following his double hip replacement procedure with the caption, “Papa has two new hips now! For all those concerned and sent in well wishes, I am pleased to report my recent surgery went very well. I’m following orders and doing my physio, so happy to say I will be back soon!”
He also shared his decision to lose weight after he “couldn’t get into my suits.” “That’s when I thought: ‘This has got to stop’,” he added. He told Radio 2 that he did not expect to gain weight and thought he could keep things in check without actively working out. “But with the Christmas puddings and cakes, before I knew it, I was 230lb, which was 30lb more than I should be,” he said.
