Michael Richards played Cosmos Kramer, the quirky and unpredictable next-door neighbor who brought both laughter and frustration to Jerry Seinfeld’s life in the TV series Seinfeld, which earned the actor three Primetime Emmy Awards for his brilliant performance in the series.
However, unlike most of his fellow cast members who found success in their careers after their time on the sitcom, Richards faced a significant career setback that made him withdraw from the spotlight. Recently, the 74-year-old made a rare appearance alongside his family after almost two decades.
The actor was spotted in the company of wife, Beth Skipp and their 13-year-old son, Antonio, as they embarked on a family outing. During their lovely time out, Richards and his family made a stop at the popular In-N-Out burger chain.
A keen observer at the scene shared that the actor and his family made their meal purchase via the drive-thru service before conveniently settling down within the comfort of their car, a Porsche, to relish their food.
Richard’s career took a significant hit in 2006 due to a highly publicized incident. During a stand-up comedy performance at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, the funnyman used racial slurs and engaged in a racially offensive tirade in response to hecklers in the audience. The incident was captured on video and widely circulated, causing public outrage and backlash.
Although the 74-year-old later made public apologies and appeared on various talk shows to express remorse for his actions, the damage to his career was significant and irreparable.
