Adrienne Barbeau Surprises Fans In Latest Horror Film

Adrienne Barbeau is a pacesetter for female characters in the horror genre, leading in both classics and modern newcomers like The Fog, Escape From New York, Creepshow, and much more. The 1977 Golden Globe nominee is still upholding her status as a scream icon, playing an old lady in a new short film, Oddities.

The movie features How To Blow Up A Pipeline’s Ariela Barer, and Logan Miller from Scouts Guide co-starring with Zombie Apocalypse star, Barbeau. Writer and director Tyler Savage describes the movie as “a twisted story that exists at the intersection of noir and horror, but there’s a joyfulness in it.”

The synopsis reads, “When a drugged-out duo attempts to rob an antique store, they realize the older woman running the shop isn’t as defenseless as she seems.” The exclusive clip from the much-anticipated movie shows the duo, Ariela and Logan, trying to rob an antique store, run by Barbeau’s character, Susan.

Oddities premiered in Los Angeles recently, and will also screen at Brooklyn Horror and the Austin Film Festival. Producer Nate Lipp took to Instagram in April, revealing it has been a year since working on the movie. “The film I produced in October of this last year has its premieres set at @screamfestla here in LA and @fantaspoa internationally. I have two films premiering at Fantaspoa this year actually,” he wrote.
