Julia Louis-Dreyfus Shares Response To Co-Star’s Statement Of Possible ‘Seinfeld’ Reunion

Iconic comedian Jerry Seinfeld made an exciting revelation regarding the much-adored sitcom, Seinfeld. During a stand-up performance earlier this month. “Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet,” he stated. “Just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So, you’ll see.”

However, despite the 69-year-old’s announcement, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, renowned for her role as Elaine, Seinfeld’s ex-girlfriend in the iconic television sitcom, seems to be just as uncertain as everyone else regarding the possibility of a reunion for the show.

During a recent interview conducted by The Guardian, the actress reacted to the buzz surrounding Seinfeld’s hints at a potential revival of the iconic NBC series that had captured the hearts of millions of viewers.

The 62-year-old conveyed her astonishment upon hearing this news. “Yeah, I just saw [that news] last night,” Louis-Dreyfus admitted to the news outlet. “And I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus previously said she felt devastated when the series ended in 1998

Although Louis-Dreyfus now seems less than enthusiastic about the idea of a Seinfeld revival, however, the once wished the series didn’t end. In a previous interview with People, the actress candidly revealed that she felt devastated when the iconic show came to its conclusion in 1998. “There was a real grief period when the show ended that was real and felt because we all loved each other so much,” Louis-Dreyfus stated. “I do very much remember wanting and thinking that I needed to keep working, I wanted to keep working. I wanted to keep doing this thing called acting. I wanted to keep pursuing it, which I’ve been able to do, which is great.”

She further disclosed that the series has managed to captivate and maintain a dedicated fanbase over the years, establishing it as a timeless classic that continues to resonate with audiences. “I think it’s incredibly cool that it continues to have life,” Louis-Dreyfus confessed to People. “I’m not surprised, because it’s funny, and it stands the test of time.”
