Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis collaborated on the show Moonlighting in the ’80s, and the iconic hit is now available on streaming platforms like Hulu. Cybill, who was in her late 30s at the time of filming, played Maddie Hayes, while Bruce was private detective David Addison Jr.

Recently, the 73-year-old Cybill was seen on the streets of Los Angeles not long before Moonlighting was made available on streaming platforms. The actress looked casual but chic in a blue blouse and cargo pants— accessorizing with black and white sneakers and aviator shades.

The Taxi Driver actress began her career as an actress and model in the ’70s, with her debut role as Jacy Farrow in Peter Bogdanovich’s drama, The Last Picture Show, shooting her to quick fame in 1971. The following year, she starred in Heartbreak Kid, solidifying her place in Hollywood.

Cybill has a long list of famous lovers, including Elvis Presley, whom she met at 22. “He asked me out through a mutual guy we knew and I said, ‘No, he said he’d call me himself,'” she told Express. “At the time, I thought he was too old for me – the Beatles were my music— but there was this chemistry between us… He smelled soapy and sweet, like sugar and sweat. I felt a lot for him.”

Cybill was attracted to Bruce

Elvis was not the only man Cybill had eyes for; she also admitted to her attraction towards her co-star, Bruce. Interestingly, the Die Hard actor liked her too, although they never got romantically involved. “My temperature went up 10 degrees,” she said in an interview. “That meant two things to me— one, I was very attracted to him, two, I would never act on it ’cause we were both very attracted to each other.”

Cybill also mentioned that Bruce, who was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia earlier this year, was the only fitting act for their show. “I will always love Bruce. I just have to say one thing about Bruce. No one else was ever considered for the part when he walked in the room,” she added.

Ironically, both stars never really got along on the set of Moonlight despite their affinity for each other. “Bruce and I were really attracted to each other, but familiarity can breed contempt, so we didn’t act on it,” Cybill joked during a Comedy Central roast of Bruce. “Too bad. Because based on how much we ended up hating each other, the sex would have been incredible.”
