Bruce Willis Spotted With Bodyguard After Wife Emma Hemming’s Heartbreaking Confession

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Hemming, recently granted an interview where she was candid about his Frontotemporal Dementia diagnosis. The 68-year-old had to take a break from acting in 2022 due to his deteriorating health condition.

The actor, who has kept a low profile since his recent FTD diagnosis, was recently seen cruising around a Los Angeles neighborhood with a bodyguard. Bruce was photographed in the passenger seat, wearing a navy jacket over a white t-shirt, with a baseball cap.

Emma raises awareness about FTD

Emma appeared on The Today Show during World FTD Awareness week to speak about her experience supporting Bruce. “Dementia is hard. It’s hard on the person diagnosed, it’s also hard on the family. And that is no different for Bruce, or myself, or our girls. When they say this is a family disease, it really is,” she explained.

Emma has been open about Bruce’s health on her Instagram, updating fans about his progress and raising awareness for others with the same health issue. “FTD affects the front and temporal lobes of the brain. Today there is no cure or single treatment for this disease,” she wrote in a post last month.

Is Bruce aware of his condition?

Emma says it is “hard to know” if Bruce is aware of his FTD. Frontotemporal Dementia affects the part of the brain that processes speech, language, behavior, and personality, rather than the areas involved in memory— however, the symptoms may vary.

Emma, who has been married to Bruce since 2009, admitted it was hard coming to terms with the diagnosis. “To finally understand what was happening so that I could be into the acceptance of what is— it doesn’t make it any less painful,” she said. “…just being in the know of what is happening to Bruce makes it a little easier.”
