‘Full House’s Candace Cameron Bure Celebrates 36-Year Anniversary As DJ Tanner

It’s been over three and a half decades since Candace Cameron Bure starred as DJ Tanner in the popular television series Full House. Her appearance in the TV sitcom was instrumental to her acting career and made her a fan favorite.

The actress has also reprised her role in the Full House sequel, Fuller House, where she played a more significant part. Recently, Candace took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo to celebrate her 36-year anniversary as DJ Tanner.

In the photo, Candace looked all glammed up as she expressed full happiness, rocking her wedding dress from the series. The image also featured the actress wearing a wedding veil while a woman who had white gloves on— likely the designer was standing behind her.

“That Friday feeling 🙌🏼— flashback to finding the DJ wedding dress ✨,” the post reads. “Today also marks 36 years since becoming DJ Tanner, what a ride! So blessed!”

Fans react to the post

Fans have joined Candace in reminiscing about the Full House series, while others praise her for making their childhood fun. “I started TGIF with my own kids, and we’re working thru Full House and Home Improvement,” a fan wrote. “Thank you for 36 years of fun and joy for multiple generations now.” Another fan commented, “Wow, 36 years 😢😍 Since I was a whittle baby 😆 How awesome! Full House has been in my life literally all of my life.”

Another fan also took the time to remember the late Bob Saget, who played Candace’s onscreen father. “I’ll never ever forget watching how happy Bob was, walking you down the aisle,” they wrote. “The tears came down my face at that moment. Love and miss him so much.”
