Lourdes Leon, who is the first of Madonna’s six children, is following in her mother’s footsteps as a singer. The 26-year-old, who goes by the stage name Lolahol, recently performed at the Brava Madrid Music Festival, where she left her fans stunned.
She shared a moment from the performance on X, formerly Twitter, where she referenced the crowd’s response to her taking off her red tracksuit to reveal a silver bikini. “The crowd’s reaction when I took off my jacket,” she wrote.
Lourdes’ blooming career
Aside from being a singer, Lourdes is also a model and a dancer. “I dance, I have a very specific sense of style and I’m interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all those parts of myself into my projects,” she told Interview Magazine in 2021.

She has been modeling for many years, making her first runway debut for Gypsy Sport at the New York Fashion Week five years ago. Lourdes was on the cover of Vogue in 2021 and has worked with designers like Luis De Javier, Versace, and even Rihanna. She has also featured in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and Swarovski.
Her relationship with her celebrity mom
Madonna has been supportive of her daughter’s career, however, she expressed some reservations about it, having been in the industry for many years. “She’s very much like, ‘Proceed with caution and think about what you want to be known for,’” Lourdes said.
Agreeing with her mother, Lourdes spoke about the insecurity that comes with having to rely on your looks to maintain a modeling career. However, their mother-daughter relationship has not always been a smooth one. A few months ago, she called the “Material Girl” singer a controlling freak, whose attitude made her leave the house after high school.
“She has controlled me my whole life. I needed to be completely independent of her as soon as I graduated high school,” she said. Regardless, Lourdes considers Madonna to be a dedicated and hardworking woman. “She’s probably the hardest worker I’ve ever seen,” Lourdes added.
