In the latest edition of Vanity Fair, Riley Keough reflects on her mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s life and her childhood. The Daisy Jones and The Six actress shared insights while responding to questions about her upbringing in the limelight due to being the granddaughter of the King of Rock and Roll.
Keough also discussed her mother’s relationship with famous celebrities like Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, shedding light on her unique childhood and the meaningful bonds she formed with her stepfathers.
Riley Keough says she loved Michael Jackson
The 34-year-old revealed her childhood during her mother’s marriage to Michael Jackson was quite memorable. She also stated that she adored the late musician. “My whole childhood was probably very extreme. In hindsight, I can see how crazy these things would be to somebody from the outside. But when you’re living in them, it’s just your life and your family. You just remember the love, and I had real love for Michael,” Keough confessed to Vanity Fair. “I think he really got a kick out of being able to make people happy, in the most epic way possible, which I think he and my grandfather had in common.”

She also compared her experiences at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch and her grandfather Elvis’s Graceland estate. “Which one did I like better? I spent more time at Neverland than Graceland, to be honest,” Keough said. “That was a real home, whereas Graceland was a museum in my lifetime.”
The actress would love to work with Nicolas Cage
After Lisa Marie separated from the late King of Pop in 1996, she found love again, this time with actor Nicolas Cage. Unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived, ending in separation just four months after the wedding, which was held in 2002.
However, Keough revealed that even though she does not keep in touch with the iconic Nicolas Cage, she would love to collaborate with him on some movie projects. “He’s a great actor,” she said. “I’ve had some wild stepfathers. Famous and not famous.”
