Dolly Parton proves once again she is timelessly stunning. Parton, 77, recently shared a photo of herself that shows off her killer legs and a bit of makeup wisdom. The photo also acts as a way to get fans excited for some new upcoming music from Parton, where she branches further into the rock genre.
Parton has been rocking out since 1956, starting as a teenager in a crowded but passionate home singing at gas stations. Today, she has over 100 million record sales worldwide, immortalizing her officially as a “country music legend.” Photos such as this new one offer a great combination of throwback and excitement for the future.
Earlier this week, Parton unified the past and present in a unique, leggy photo. It shows her sitting cross-legged in a car; behind her is the famous credits font from 9 to 5. Back at the foreground, Parton is seen in full makeup, midway through applying a vivid red shade of lipstick to her mouth.
“No outfit is complete without a red lip,” she captioned the post. The color matches perfectly with her long red nails, while also contrasting nicely with her deep blue outfit speckled with glittering rhinestones. While a lot of this has the air of a throwback photo, it is also a powerful reference to some exciting upcoming Parton content.
Parton has made it clear she doesn’t plan on fully retiring – maybe stop full tours across state lines, but if she has it her way, her last breath will be spent singing on stage. So, it’s no surprise Parton has yet another collection of songs coming out – this time, the country queen is releasing a rock album, aptly called Rockstar, due out on November 17, 2023.
What does this leg and lipstick photo have to do with the new Parton album? The cover artwork is almost identical to what she posted on Instagram. It shows Parton in a shimmering golden outfit sitting crookedly in the front seat of a car. Her hand is resting on a leopard-print steering wheel and she’s sitting at almost the exact same angle – and she has the same shade of red on her lips.
