The original Charlie’s Angels TV series aired from 1976 to 1981 and had three main cast members, Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith, who played the roles of the private detectives Jill Munroe, Sabrina Duncan, and Kelly Garrett, working for the mysterious Charlie Townsend.

Recently, co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson stepped out together in a rare public appearance after over four decades since the series was concluded. This makes it Jackson’s first public picture since she attended the funeral of Charlie’s Angels co-star Farrah Fawcett in 2009.

“There is nothing like family, and ours grew this weekend!” she wrote in the caption. “I’m so endlessly proud of my son Gaston and am wishing him and Bonnie a lifetime of happiness.” At the event, the groom’s mother donned a sophisticated emerald sequin gown adorned with feathers while Jackson opted for a relaxed attire, rocking a white pair of trousers, a beige blazer, and a pale blue shirt which she complemented with brown sunglasses.

Kate Jackson has lived a private life since she left ‘Charlie’s Angels’

Smith and Jackson secured significant fame in Charlie’s Angels, but Jackson decided to part ways with her angelic role in 1979. She told Closer Weekly in 2022 that her portrayal of Sabrina Duncan negatively impacted her life.

“I’d had it with Hollywood’s long hours, the politics, the backstabbing, and the gossip,” she admitted. “It was not a great town for having your feet on the ground and living a normal life. I finally had to say, ‘Wait a minute, there’s my life, and there’s the show, and one is killing the other, so something has to go.’ I sure as hell wasn’t about to sacrifice my life for a television show.”

Following three unsuccessful marriages, she chose to distance herself from Hollywood and move to a farm in Keswick, Virginia, with her adopted son, Charles Taylor, in 1995, where they have lived a quiet and simple life.
