John Schneider Makes Rare Public Appearance After Death Of His Wife

John Schneider, who is popularly known for his role in The Dukes of Hazzard, recently made a public appearance for the first time since the death of his wife, Alicia Allain. The 63-year-old was seen attending the Drinks With DeeDee Sorvino cabaret show at the American Legion Hollywood Post 43 in Los Angeles, Calif. During the outing, Schneider took time out to reminisce about his relationship with his wife in an interview with DailyMail.

“My bride Alicia and I did our own movies and our own music, so we didn’t work for anybody,” Schneider confessed to the news outlet. “So that was very, very helpful. Now that my much, much, much better half is not here but waiting for me, I am trying to honor her professionalism and trying to honor her skill.”

John Schneider’s new album, ‘We’re Still Us’ is dedicated to his late wife, Alicia Allain

During his discussion with DailyMail, Schneider revealed that he is working on a new album, We’re Still Us, to honor the legacy of his late wife. He also stated that even though working on the album was very difficult, he believes it will resonate with people while also paying tribute to his wife.

“I do believe it’s helpful, but honestly, I don’t see a time where this doesn’t hurt like hell,” Schneider disclosed. “It hurt so bad to write. It hurt so bad to sing. But the final product is going to be healing for those who are going through this… statistically speaking, two people get married, one of them is going to die first.”

“There’s a huge demographic of people who’ve lost a spouse out there, and people are afraid to talk about it,” he said. “So we really have no support system,” he stated.” Now, did I ever dream in my wildest imagination that I would be a well-educated support system for people who lost the loves of their lives? No, but that’s where I am. So that’s what I’ll do.”
