Fans Are Concerned About Madonna’s Parenting Surrounding Daughter Lourdes’ Clothing

Although Lourdes has now grown up into a beautiful and independent woman, she was at the receiving end of her mom’s tough love during her childhood. Madonna went to extra lengths to teach her about neatness and ensured that the 26-year-old repeated the same clothes to school until she learned the lesson.

In an interview with Newsweek, the 64-year-old explained her parenting. She said she wanted her to be extra careful about storing her clothing. “We take all of her clothes and put them in a bag, and she has to earn all of her clothes back by being tidy,” Madonna admitted. “She wears the same outfit every day to school until she learns her lesson.”

Madonna’s parenting is strict, but loving

Aside from the rule prohibiting littering the floor with dirty clothes, Madonna has a long list of codes that had to be followed to the letter by all her kids. In March 2023, she posted a picture on her Instagram story featuring her five compulsory household rules. The chalkboard she held in the photo listed the rules as follows, “1. Smile, 2. Be Happy, 3. Listen to others, 4. Speak Kindness, 5. Be Happy with what you have.”

Despite her methods possibly seeming unconventional to some, they have evidently been highly effective. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Madonna’s son, Rocco, described her mom as a highly disciplined and amazing mom. “She’s a good mother. Yes. That’s all I have to say,” he confessed. “She’s very strict but in a good way.”
