Die Hard was released in 1988, making it 35 years since the action masterpiece was created. To celebrate the anniversary of Die Hard this year, Bruce’s wife, Emma, posted an Instagram video to express how proud she is of her husband. Bruce played John McClane in the action flick, which turned out to be one of his most iconic roles in the acting industry.
Emma’s post featured a video of Bruce from 2018 looking through Die Hard archives. “This mural was unveiled in front of Bruce back in 2013 to commemorate Die Hard’s 25th anniversary. Today marks Die Hard’s 35th anniversary when it hit the screens, and the rest is history,” Emma wrote. “What Bruce has been able to accomplish in his career will never be lost on us. We are so proud of him.”

Update on Bruce’s health
Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia earlier this year, just after a previous aphasia diagnosis. One of the effects of FTD is impaired communication. Therefore, Bruce’s career has been greatly affected. His family, including his wife, Emma, and ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters, have been present and supportive of him so far.
Bruce recently welcomed his granddaughter, Louetta, and his family thought her arrival brought a glimmer of hope to the former actor. Although there is no known cure for FTD, Emma has been working hard to manage and care for her husband while spreading awareness about the condition via social media.
