Lee Meriwether gained prominence as a beauty queen, winning the titles of Miss San Francisco, Miss California, and eventually Miss America in 1955. The actress is best known for portraying Catwoman in the 1966 film adaptation of the Adam West Batman TV series. Beyond her acting career, the singer is also a proud mom of two, Lesley Aletter and Kyle Aletter, whom she welcomed with her first husband, Frank Aletter.
Meriwether has been married two times. As noted, her first marriage was to actor Frank Aletter, whom she met in her acting classes. His kind, considerate, and gentle nature won her heart, and they got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 1958 before tying the knot a few months after.
However, after separating from Aletter in 1974, she found love and happiness when she married Marshall Borden in 1986. Their union has blossomed into one of Hollywood’s most celebrated and joy-filled partnerships. The actress is also a grandmother to Kyle’s daughter, Ryan Isabelle, whom she had with her husband, Rory Oldham.
