Dolph Lundgren, who is best known for his role as Ivan Drago in the 1985 film Rocky IV has been enjoying the best time of his life with his 25-year-old Norwegian fiancée, Emma Krokdal. The lovers were spotted vacationing in Mykonos, Greece, and they have shared glimpses of their trip with their fans on Instagram. Lundgren’s daughter, Ida, shared more details about the trip, which left the actor’s fans speculating if Lundgren and Krokdal have tied the knot while on their holiday.
Ida posted pictures of her father and fiancee wearing wedding bands while dressed in white attire. She also shared a video that captured a small gathering near a pool where people were seen dancing and singing. “Congratulations,” she captioned the video. The actor’s Instagram post with the caption, “Tomorrow is the day. Mykonos ❤️,” featuring him and his fiancée in a pool a few days prior, subtly affirming fan’s speculations.
During a May 2023 interview, Lundgren revealed that he and Krokdal initially encountered each other at an Equinox fitness center in West Hollywood and quickly developed a strong bond, and began training together. However, it took a while for their romantic relationship to blossom.
“I was looking for the boxing room, and I just grabbed somebody who was going up the stairs. She looked like a trainer, and I said, ‘Hey excuse me, where’s the boxing room?’ She turned around and it was like, ‘Oh s—.’ It was one of those flashes where you go, ‘Uh-oh,'” he confessed. “I didn’t know why she liked me at all, but I suppose she saw something there. She didn’t know about my acting career, she didn’t know anything about me.”
After being together for months, Lundgren took the relationship to another level by proposing to Krokdal in June 2020. He shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a picture of his soon-to-be bride proudly displaying her engagement ring. “Something very special happened here in Sweden,” the actor wrote in the caption.
Following the proposal, the 65-year-old had been looking forward to marrying his heartthrob. During the Minions: The Rise of Gru premiere in June 2022, the actor openly discussed his intentions to marry Krokdal. “It’s just because we lost two years, so hopefully next year, we’re gonna go to Scandinavia, and you can’t do it in the winter, or you’ll be in the middle of a snowstorm,” Lundgren explained. “So hopefully we’ll do it maybe next spring or something in Norway or Sweden.”
