Anthony Michael Hall, famous for his role in The Breakfast Club, recently discreetly revealed that he had been a father for weeks. At 55, Anthony and his 32-year-old wife, actress Lucia Oskerova, joyfully welcomed their precious bundle of joy into the world on June 1st.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Hall expressed his enthusiasm about stepping into the role of fatherhood. “It’s great. We’re excited. That first month of parenting is pretty wild,” the actor confessed to the publication. “Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep, and it’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time. So we’re really enjoying it.”
Antony Micheal Hall explains the reason behind their son’s name
The 55-year-old was born Michael Anthony Hall but had to change his name by transposing his first and middle names when joining the Screen Actor’s Guild in 1976 because another actor named Michael Hall was already a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Following the birth of his son, he revealed that he named the child Michael Anthony Hall II to continue the legacy of his new name. “I knew I did want to name him Michael, and my wife also loved that name, even before she met me,” Hall said to PEOPLE. “So we’ve shared that, and then we decided to go with the suffix, so he’s Michael Anthony Hall II because there are a lot of juniors in the world. There’s nothing wrong with that, but we figured we wanted to keep that full name.”

I couldn’t be happier because I always knew, even when I was a young man, that I wanted to get started later. Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed. I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in.”
