‘Grease’ Star Susan Buckner Looks Unrecognizable 45 Years After Film Hit Theaters

It has been 45 years since the romantic musical comedy film, Grease, was released. Former actress, Susan Buckner, played Patty Simcox— a goody-goody and over-enthusiastic cheerleader at Rydell High in the film. During the 40th anniversary of Grease in 2018, Susan reunited with her former co-stars to celebrate, and she looked unrecognizable.

The iconic movie from the late ‘70s featured two cliques at Rydell High, namely the T-birds and the Pink Ladies, who found Susan’s character quite annoying. Susan acted alongside co-stars like John Travolta, Stockard Channing, and the late Olivia Newton-John.

Susan’s last acting credit was in 1981

Susan got her last credit for a movie role in 1981’s horror film Deadly Blessing. Aside from Grease, Susan appeared in multiple episodes of The Brady Bunch Hour as a member of the synchronized swimming team called The Krofftettes. She also played George Fayne in the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries and was featured in films like Starsky & Hutch, Love Boat, and Return Engagement.

The ‘80s ABC series, When the Whistle Blows lasted only ten episodes and featured Susan playing a lead character shortly before she quit acting. The former actress is a mother to two adult children from her marriage to her ex-husband, Michael Josephs. Per IMDb, Susan directs children’s theater at Miami’s Pinecrest Elementary School.
