Despite being a septuagenarian, Debbie Harry has always been vocal about how she maintains her beauty without holding back details regarding her cosmetic surgery. In her memoir Face It, the 77-year-old shared details of her cosmetic procedure.

“I think it’s the same as having a flu shot basically, another way of looking after yourself,” Harry wrote. “If it makes you feel better and look better and work better, that’s what it’s all about. Getting older is hard on your looks. Like everybody else, I have good days and bad days, and those, ‘S***, I hope nobody sees me today’ days.”

Harry further stated that she decided to undergo the cosmetic procedure because age was already taking a toll on her looks, and in order to maintain her relevance, she had to use enhancements. “Everybody knows that I’ve had plastic surgery,” she confessed. “I did it for business reasons. You photograph better, and looks are a key part of being an entertainer, so I felt it was something I had to do.”
