Upon her return from Texas, her partner at the time strongly encouraged her to seek medical attention for a thorough examination. A colonoscopy was carried out that confirmed her diagnosis. However, it seems the detection was too late since the actress has been ignoring the symptoms for a long time, and this led to a poor prognosis as the cancer had already progressed to stage 4.
