Madonna Shares Photo Showing Off Natural Hair And Bare Face Ahead Of World Tour

Madonna is gearing up to ignite the stage once more and ready to unleash her creative spirit as she embarks on her highly anticipated global tour, Madonna: The Celebration Tour. The tour is billed to span 35 cities worldwide beginning on Saturday, July 15, in Vancouver, Canada.

However, the singer is savoring the precious moments of downtime that remain before she sets the world stage ablaze. Recently, Madonna took to her Instagram story, sharing a captivating selfie that showcased her natural hair and the rare beauty of her makeup-free face. “When you know your only day off isn’t really a day off,” she wrote in the caption.

Madonna’s post comes several months after her notable appearance on the Grammy stage, where she took the opportunity to introduce singers Kim Petras and Sam Smith for their performance of “Unholy.”

The singer responds to criticisms about her Grammy appearance

In response to the relentless backlash she faced, the 64-year-old released a statement, baring her emotions and expressing the pain she had faced due to the barrage of castigations directed towards her. “Once again, I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in,” Madonna wrote. “A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working, and adventurous. I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start.”

The singer further stated that she has always been subjected to criticism throughout her career. “I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career but I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come,” Madonna continued in the statement. “I look forward to many more years of subversive behavior, pushing boundaries, standing up to the patriarchy, and Most of all enjoying my life.”
