Céline Dion, who was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, recently canceled her upcoming shows up until April 2024 due to a deterioration in her health status. “I’m not giving up,” she assured as she disclosed the cancellation.

Dion announced her health condition via her Instagram page in December 2022. The French Canadian singer posted a heartbreaking video explaining the neurological disorder to her followers. “These spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal chords to sing the way I’m used to,” Dion said.

Tickets to the Courage World Tour will be refunded

Dion also assured fans via a statement on her website that they will be refunded for the canceled Courage World Tour. The “I’m Alive” singer expressed her sadness over having to cancel 42 dates from her tour; however, she is hopeful for a quick recovery.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything until I’m really ready to be back on stage. I’m not giving up, and I can’t wait to see you again!” she tweeted.

Dion already performed fifty-two tour shows in North America until March 2020, when the tour was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
