Robert De Niro Shares Seventh Child’s First Photo And Name

Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child in April at the age of 79. The news of his daughter’s birth was revealed during an interview when a reporter asked about Robert’s six children but was corrected that they were seven kids instead.

The actor and his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, kept the pregnancy and birth of their baby girl private until the dialogue with the reporter, and Robert has further revealed the name of his newest child.

Robert shares the first photo of his new baby

The proud dad revealed his daughter’s name, Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro, on CBS Mornings with Gayle King while also stating that she was born weighing eight pounds and six ounces. He also shared a photo of the baby wearing pink and white striped footed pajamas.

King confronted Robert on why he kept the news of his baby but revealed it to another reporter who interviewed him right after. Robert admitted that he did not want to divert attention from the major discussion of the interview, which was about his upcoming movie, About My Father.

Robert’s friends celebrate the new addition to his family

Following Robert’s announcement of his new baby, his celebrity friends and present co-stars publicly congratulated the actor for the wonderful news. Billy Crystal, Robert’s co-star in the movies, Analyze This and Analyze That told People that he was with Robert two weeks before the baby’s arrival. “You know, it’s amazing,” Billy added.

Billy also spoke about Robert and Chen’s relationship since the couple met on the set of 2015’s The Intern. “They want to do this together,” he said. “I think it’s a beautiful thing. It’s wonderful.”

Robert’s co-stars on About My Father also congratulated the star. Sebastian Maniscalco— who plays Robert’s son in the upcoming movie, said he learned the news like everyone else. Anders Holm, who is also a father, said he hopes he and Robert can “get the kids together and have a good time!”

Kim Cattrall also sent her blessings to the couple, with kind words for Chen. “She was gorgeous and sweet. I’m happy for both of them,” Kim said of Chen.
