Arnold Schwarznegger Takes It Upon Himself To Fix Neighborhood Pothole

After being tired of waiting for three weeks for the pothole in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Los Angeles neighborhood to be fixed, the star decided to do it himself. He showed his philanthropic act in a video he shared on social media to encourage his fans to render community services.

“Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it. I always say, let’s not complain, let’s do something about it. Here you go,” the former California Governor captioned the photo.

The potholes were a result of recent storms in the area

The Los Angeles area was ravaged by winter storms, and the fellow residents of Arnold’s L.A. street, including other nearby areas, petitioned for repairs severally but to no avail. The city received over 20,000 requests since the end of last year. Mayor Karen Bass addressed the issue, stating the plan to put things in order “right away.”

“City workers are pulling out all the stops, but not to just prepare for every pothole that is reported, but also to be proactive. That means driving around the city, throughout this district and all others, to assess the conditions of our streets and identify and repair the damage right away,” the Mayor stated.

Arnold fixed the issue after ‘waiting’

The actor got to work, as seen in his shared video. One of the neighbors was also seen in the clip thanking him as she drove by. “You’re welcome. You have to do it yourself. This is crazy. For three weeks I’ve been waiting for this hole to be closed,” Arnold replied to her.

The clip received over sixty thousand likes on Twitter, with comments from fans and fellow Hollywood celebrities. Most of the comments were expressions of gratitude for his good work, and some were disappointed as to why a resident had to make fixing the road their job.

Absolutely correct! Action is always better than reaction! Would have loved to have had more like you in my town when I was the Mayor,” a user said. “Good work sir.
