Jeopardy! fans are upset that the game show snubbed their former beloved host from their Valentine’s Day tribute. During the episode, current show hosts Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik received their own tributes, while Alex Trebek, the late show host, was left out.
A number of other contestants from the show also got their own tributes, so this left fans at home wondering, “Where’s Alex?”

Jeopardy! celebrated the holiday by featuring custom cards that fans could send to their significant others. One card had a photo of Jennings on it that read, “You’re the GOAT in my heart.” Bialik’s card read, “It doesn’t take a Ph.D. to understand why I love you,” referencing her neuroscience degree. Professor and 2022 Tournament of Champions contender Sam Buttrey, and 40-time winner Amy Schneider also got their own custom cards made, too.

Some fans loved this, and quickly took to social media to point out their favorite custom cards. “Love Sam, Matt, and Amy. They were unforgettable and worthy contestants,” one person wrote. However, people were quick to point out Trebek’s absence. “Where’s the one with Alex Trebek on it???” one user asks. Another writes, “Maybe one with alex on it.”
Trebek died back in 2020 from pancreatic cancer at age 80. He was beloved by fans and left some big shoes to fill, which were first filled by a slew of guest hosts before Jennings and Bialik were tapped as co-hosts. It took two whole years to find the hosts that would ultimately replace Trebek.
Bialikl hasn’t been seen regularly on the show this season, and some fans are calling for her to stay out and keep Jennings as the main host. “Please don’t put Mayim back as host. Ken is such a great host. Leave him on all the time. Let her do just the Celebrity version please!” someone harshly writes. Another adds, “I will go on vacation then!!!” and “She is unwatchable.”
