Catherine Zeta-Jones has achieved wide acclaim for her role as Morticia Addams in the 2022 movie, Wednesday. Despite her fame, the actress doesn’t hesitate to spend time with her family. Her husband, Michael Douglas is proud of her and the position she maintains in his life likewise her children, stepson, and grandchildren who call her ‘Zeze’ are grateful for the immense love she shares.
The actress met her husband who had been previously married to Diandra Luker at the Deauville American Film Festival in France in 1998 after they were introduced by Danny DeVito. The couple started dating in 1999 and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that earned itself the tag “wedding of the year” by the BBC.
The love birds have been together for more than two decades with their love still waxing stronger. The 78-year-old reflected on his twenty years of marriage to Zeta-Jones in an exclusive interview with US in 2019 and stated that he “always tried to remember how fortunate I am and what an extraordinary lady [Catherine] is and [remember daily] that kind of respect.”
The mom of two was full of praises for her husband while speaking to Extra at the November 2022 premiere of the film, Wednesday. “Thank[s] my lucky stars every day that I picked the right guy,” Catherine told the outlet. “He’s a wonderful husband. He’s a wonderful father. He happens to be a wonderful actor. But for us, he’s just Michael.”

He is the first child of Michael Douglas from his first marriage to Diandra Luker. Douglas was born on December 13, 1978, and he has followed in the footsteps of his legendary dad with acting credits in movies like, Jackie Chan’s Mr. Nice Guy, National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve, Loaded and It Runs in the Family in which he starred alongside with his father, Michael Douglas, grandfather, Kirk Douglas, and grandmother, Diana Dill.
The 44-year-old had a brief brush with the law and was arrested on On July 28, 2009, by the Drug Enforcement Administration for being in possession of 0.5 lb (0.23 kg) of methamphetamine. He also pleaded guilty to drug possession while in prison which earned him an additional four and half years jail term with his original five years.
After serving almost seven years in prison, he regained his freedom in 2016 and wrote a memoir detailing his jail experiences published in 2019. Cameron revealed in an interview with Variety in 2019 that his dad was the motivation behind the book.
“It was my father who was really pushing me to write this book,” he told the outlet. “I had trouble understanding that because our family has always been very private. Then I realized it’s the ultimate way for my father and my mother to express their love for me, saying, ‘You have a story to tell that we think can be beneficial. Even though that will inevitably shine a light on pieces of our life that we’d have rather left in the past, for the greater good and because we love you, we’re giving you our blessing.’”
The 44-year-old is a father to two adorable children, a daughter, Lua Izzy who was born in 2017, and a son, Ryder whom he also welcomed with his long-time partner Viviane Thibes in 2020.
Catherine does not hide her beautiful family as she always showcases them on her social media. In December 2022, she took to Instagram to post a video of Lua playing the drums. “It gives me great joy to see Lua Douglas enjoying her 5th birthday gift from Bubba and Zeze, that’s my hubby and me!! Hahaha������,” Catherine wrote in the caption. “Bash it out Baby��� I can’t hear you! Gifting other people’s kids is so much fun.”
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones welcomed Dylan Douglas on August 8, 2000. The 22-year-old is a graduate of Brown University. His parents penned down some emotional messages for him on his 22nd birthday in August 2022.
“Zero to 22!” Catherine wrote alongside a slideshow of the throwback pictures. “You are everything to me and everything is you. The joy you have brought to this world thus far, is immeasurable. I love you more than words can say. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
Michael Douglas also gushed over how proud he was of his son.“My man! Happy 22nd! My goodness! Out of college, on your way, you’re rocking! I’m so proud of you Dylan,” he captioned. “Have a great new year! Your year!”
Recently, Dylan made a rare appearance with his parents on the red carpet at the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in which his dad reprised his role as Hank Pym. The 22-year-old spoke about his parents’ passion for their work in an interview with ET’s Nischelle Turner. “I’m very, very proud. I mean, obviously, they’re great actors — both Academy Award-winning actors — but they’re great parents,” he said. “And that’s a side that not everyone gets to see, but I get to see every day, in and out. So on that front, they do great. And they also do good work on the screen.”
Carys is Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’ youngest daughter. The 19-year-old is a rising model who had her debut in September 2017 when she posed alongside her mother in New York Fashion Week. She also doubles as a dancer and has performed at the Westchester Dance Academy in the New York City Dance Alliance Foundation Gala and also danced alongside her mother during the Fendi’s Peekaboo bag campaign.
Carys graduated from high school in 2021 and her proud parents could not help but gush over their daughter. “Carys!!! What a proud day as our daughter Carys graduates with honors for her International Baccalaureate!” Catherine shared on Instagram. “You rock and we love you.”
Her father also posted a family photo on Instagram. “Congratulations to Carys and the entire class of 2021! Your Mom and I are so proud of you!” Micheal Douglas wrote in the caption. “We love you so much, and we are so excited for your future as the best is yet to come! Dad.” The 19-year-old is currently in college.
