Madonna and Rocco celebrated their birthdays
August 11 was a special day for Madonna’s household. Actually, the middle of August was full of reasons to celebrate. First came the 22nd birthday of Rocco Ritchie, her son with director Guy Ritchie, then four days later Madonna celebrated her 64th birthday on August 16.
In celebration, the “Like a Prayer” singer shared a series of family photos that were a mix of candid and dynamic. Her post was dedicated exclusively to Rocco, but their birthdays made it a very Leo season and it seemed to be a joint celebration.
On her own birthday, Madonna posted photos from her time with Rocco. “From one Leo to another!! Happy birthday Rocco,” she said, with plenty of hearts, cake, and streamers. The pair celebrated in Sicily, Italy, and Madonna tagged the page of dress and decoration seller Luisa Beccaria, who also wished her a happy birthday. The designer easily identified her satin pleated dress decked out in a floral pattern in a separate post.
In the photos, the mother-son duo were arm-in-arm having dinner, smiling for the camera, having drinks, enjoying the scenery, and basking in quality time with Madonna’s other children, twins Estere and Stella, who wore matching blue ruffled dress covered in a delicate floral pattern.
At 22, Rocco is already closely resembling his father, the 53-year-old director of Sherlock and its sequel Sherlock: Game of Shadows. He and Madonna tied the knot back in 2000 and divorced in 2008. Physically, they might be twins. Additionally, he is also pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Rocco is already an actor, with an uncredited appearance in the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie, and he has not shied away from the spotlight.
As for Madonna, she celebrated turning 64 by keeping the alcohol flowing – and sharing some kisses with her friends. She explained, “It’s my birthday week,” before sharing some limo kisses with some of the women she calls friends. She hasn’t gotten with anyone officially since separating from Ritchie, but her birthday seemed to be filled with eventful fun.
