Hallmark Channel star Lacey Chabert responded to Candace Cameron Bure‘s comments about how the network has changed and how it led to her departure. Candace starred in many Hallmark films before leaving to go to the Great American Family network. She admitted that a “change of leadership” was her reasoning for the switch.
Candace also came under fire for her comments about how the Great American Family network would “keep traditional marriage at the core” of their films, just as Hallmark released their first Christmas movie with a same-sex couple.
Lacey Chabert has differing views than Candace Cameron Bure about the Hallmark Channel
Lacey said that she is a fan of the changes. She shared, “Any shift I’ve felt has been embracing our creative ideas. And it’s my responsibility to the audience who continue to tune into my movies that I give the best I have to offer. That’s always my mission. I’ll never abandon what Hallmark means for me, which is that everything is centered around the heart. I don’t think there are any plans for that to change anytime soon.”

When asked about stars like Candace and Danica McKellar who switched networks, she kept things vague and said, “You know what, I wish everybody the best. I really can’t comment on it further other than I care about everybody involved.”
She added when asked if Great American Family wanted her to switch over to their network, “I’m with Hallmark, and I work for them. I’m so sorry, but I’ll just have to leave it at that.”
