Ellen DeGeneres Speaks Out About The Death Of Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss

Ellen DeGeneres has officially broken her silence on the death of her show DJ and friend, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss. It was reported earlier that Boss had died at the age of 40 by suicide, and the talk show host followed up with her own tribute saying she was “heartbroken.”

“tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia,” she writes alongside of photo of she and Boss hugging.

Boss’s wife confirmed the sad news as well, shocking fans as his death came just days after the couple celebrated their 9th anniversary. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” his widow says. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

She continues, “To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this time for myself and especially for our three children.”

People all over the Internet are sharing their thoughts as well, with one person tweeting out, “This is the saddest news. I didn’t believe it when I first read it…sending so much love to everyone who knew him. I can’t imagine the loss his beautiful family is feeling.” A second fan adds, “Heartbreaking. Condolences to all that knew and loved tWitch.”

tWitch joined Ellen DeGeneres’ show as the show DJ in 2014 and became an executive producer of the show in 2020. He stayed on with the show until its conclusion in May 2022.
