Actor Cliff Emmich passed away at the age of 85, just weeks before his 86th birthday. His representative confirmed the news and shared that Cliff had been suffering from lung cancer. The rep wrote, “My client and friend for over fifty years lost his battle with lung cancer… He passed at his home in Valley Village on Monday.”
Cliff is best known for his roles in Little House on the Prairie, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Payday, Halloween II, Starsky and Hutch, and more. Michael Landon reportedly wrote a role specifically for Cliff during the fifth season of Little House on the Prairie and Cliff once said it was one of his favorite roles during his long career.
Cliff Emmich died at the age of 85
Cliff was born in 1936 in Ohio but was raised in Los Angeles. His father was an exotic car dealer and worked with many famous celebrities including Clark Gable. After Cliff graduated from high school, he joined the Air Force and later studied at the Pasadena Playhouse. He toured the country with the American Repertory Players.

Cliff appeared in over 90 films and television shows, starting in 1969. His final role was in the 2013 film Holiday Road Trip.
