Guy Fieri’s Youngest Son Ryder Looks All Grown Up In New Family Photos

It is hard to believe that Food Network star Guy Fieri‘s kids are growing up so fast! His oldest son, Hunter is 26 years old and his youngest, Ryder, just turned 16. Ryder attended his homecoming dance during his 11th-grade year and shared some fun photos with fans.

Ryder captioned a post of himself all dressed up, including a photo with his parents, and wrote, “Alexa, play ‘Homecoming’ by Kanye😮.” He also shared a photo with his date and their group of friends. While the kids posed in a beautiful backyard, Guy makes sure not to just hand his kids everything. He worked hard to get to where he is and wants his children to have the same sense of accomplishment.

He explained, “You know what Ryder drove to school [when] he got his license? He got my parents’ old, used 259,000-mile Chrysler minivan. I’m not buying Ryder a car, and I refuse to let him buy a car until he spends one year with no tickets, no accidents, driving the minivan.”

He added, “It’s a rite of passage. Show me that you can spend a year driving the car, not getting any dents, not getting any wrecks, not getting any tickets. Prove that you’ve got it all together. Then you can take your own money out of the bank and go buy a car. I want the boys to be self-sufficient.”

It certainly works because Hunter is now older and appreciates that his parents didn’t just give him a new fancy ride. He said, “He’s a great teacher and a great father and leads by example. He does the right things to train you for the real world. And teaches you discipline and hard work and to not give up, and that not everyone’s going to hold your hand through life.”
