Another acting legend is gone. Paul Anthony Sorvino would no longer dine with the living. His star actress daughter, Mira Sorvino, took to Twitter to express her gloom over this reality. She left a touching statement on her Twitter account and communicated her message of grief with a black square in her feed on Instagram. Her posts were met with heartfelt condolences from several of her followers.
“My father, the great Paul Sorvino has passed. My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend,” wrote Mira on her Twitter account. Like Mira, the fans of the legendary actor, “the great Paul Sorvino,” still cannot believe he is gone and forever so.
The posts of Mira Sorvino about her grief over her father’s passing were met with a galore of reactions. Several followers left Mira short messages of condolences in the comment section to express sorrow and compassion for her on her huge loss. Some of the comments are quoted below:
Rosie O’Donnell wrote, “Love 2 u and ur family.” A certain Brian Van Holt left this: “I’m so sorry Mira. Sending my sincere condolences to you and your family. And healing and love.” Another follower named Harold Perrineau commented, “Love to your family Mira.” Gilles Marini could equally not hold back, expressing “[his] deepest condolences.”
Among the people who express their sadness about the death of Paul Sorvino is his beloved wife, Dee Dee Sorvino. The family released a statement to the public about Paul Sorvino’s passing and declared that Paul left the world with his wife by his side. In the release, Dee Dee said: “Our hearts are broken. There will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.”
She didn’t stop there, however. She equally used her Twitter account to let out some of her grief. On Twitter, she wrote: “I am completely devastated. The love of my life & the most wonderful man who has ever lived is gone. I am heartbroken.”
Paul Sorvino is a popular figure in the American movie industry. Born April 13, 1939, Paul crossed to the great beyond on July 25, 2022, aged 83. He was a polymath who enjoyed success in several endeavors, including acting, opera singing, business, writing, and sculpture making. He was first propelled into the limelight by his excellent portrayal of Paulie Cicero in the 1990 gangster movie titled Goodfellas. Being cast as NYPD Sergeant Phil Cerreta on the second season of the TV series Law & Order equally buoyed his fame.
Paul Sorvino is also a family man and a mentor to Mira and Micheal, who are active in the movie industry. Paul had daughters Mira Sorvino and Amanda Sorvino and only son Michael Sorvino with ex-wife Lorraine Davis.
