Guess What Movie Featured this Creepy Estate?

It’s Manderley from Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca (1940)

It’s the picturesque gothic estate where Mrs. de Winter (Joan Fontaine) is haunted by the presence of Rebecca, the deceased first-wife of Maxim de Winter (Laurence Olivier). According to HookedonHouses.com, the estate used for the movie does not actually exist. The site states that, based on an article in Architectural Digest, the exterior images of the grand structure were actually miniatures on a table. This movie-making sorcery achieved Manderley’s vast and eerie effect in this gothic romance.
