Dolly Parton is an incredible singer, entrepreneur, and seems to be a lovely person. In addition, she sure knows how to crack us up! Dolly has been known to share some funny things on social media. Remember when she started that viral trend where she posted photos of herself to correspond with different social media websites?
While she posts some pretty great stuff on all of her social media accounts, she often posts the funniest things on Twitter. If you’re not following her on Twitter, you should be. Here are some of her funniest tweets to brighten your day.
In a pair of images, Dolly asked fans “Did it work?” She posted a photo of herself next to a photo of legs (not sure if they are hers), but the images line up perfectly! One fan commented, “Jolene has 24 hours to respond but she won’t…she can’t compete here.”

Dolly is also known to post a lot of throwback images. In one tweet, she shared an old photo of herself with big hair and big earrings! She wrote, “The bigger the hair the bigger the…hoops. Well, what did you think I was going to say?”
That’s a face I can relate to.
She even shares throwback photos with some of her famous friends or shares stories from her past. In one photo, a younger Dolly stands next to a beautiful horse. She captioned the photo, “Growing up in the mountains, we used to sit on the front porch and listen to the beautiful sounds of nature….like a songbird’s melody or crickets singing in the fields nearby. So grateful for all this Earth has given us Happy #EarthDay!”
