Harrison Ford Gives His Advice For A Happy Marriage

Harrison Ford and his wife, Calista Flockhart, are coming up on a 10-year wedding anniversary! Congrats to the happy couple on 10 years married. However, they have been together for almost eighteen years. Ford was asked what his secret was to a happy marriage and he has a pretty simple response: “Don’t talk. Nod your head,” he jokes in an interview.

The two first met at the 2002 Golden Globes. They would marry eight years later. Ford has four children from two previous marriages and Flockhart also has an adopted son. Many question the 22-year age difference of the couple, but Flockhart assures everyone in a 2017 interview that it’s never been an issue.

Flockhart tells Closer Weekly, “The truth is, I sometimes feel very much older than Harrison.” At 55 years old, Ford is 22 years her senior. Ford reveals how he keeps the relationship strong with his wife. He says that he makes sure all chores are complete before taking off to do something and also spends lots of quality time with Flockhart at their ranch in Wyoming.

The incredible actor talks about his 50-year career in an interview with Parade. “I was not an overnight success. I spent 15 years before I had any real, noticeable success,” he tells Parade. “Persistence is certainly something I think I can credit myself for having.” Ford has played a number of iconic and memorable roles. These roles include Han Solo in Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
