From Moulin Rouge (2001) Satine is a performer at the infamous nightclub in Paris in the year 1900. The dazzling outfit worn by Nicole Kidman as she performs “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” is created in the fashion of a Parisian showgirl during the early 20th Century. The film won Best Costume Design at the 2002 Academy Awards.
