Kate Hudson turned 45 a few days ago and to celebrate, she took to Instagram with a carousel of photos showing how her day went— from a dinner party to getting flowers and finally laying topless in bed with two of her kids, Rani Rose Fujikawa and Bingham Hawn Bellamy.
Her oldest son Ryder Russell Robinson, was absent from the photo and the tress looked satisfied from her love-filled day. “A perfect day from start to finish. Thank you for all the wishes yesterday for my birthday! I got all the fuzzy feels,” Kate’s caption read.

Although Kate appeared to simply be expressing gratitude for how her birthday went, some fans thought her choice of cover photo was inappropriate. “Where’s her shirt? I KNOW I’m NOT the only one wondering,” someone asked. Thankfully, more people came to the screen icon’s defense and clapped back at the critics in the comments. “Nope.. I’m not wondering at all. People are allowed to sleep without clothing. Did you know that?” a follower retorted.

Several users rebuked the trolls for sexualizing an innocent photo of a mother and her children, while others simply wished the star a happy birthday and complimented her “Penny Lane tank” from one of the slides. “Best way to celebrate your birthday is close with your beautiful children. Then the magical wish that I know had to do with them in mind and your family. And celebrate with friends. Happy birthday Kate! P. S. I want that Penny lane shirt lol,” a kind user gushed.
Kate shares her kids with past lovers Chris Robinson, Matt Bellamy, and her current fiance Danny Fujikawa. The actress shows off her children often, and once joked about their different fathers on a 2022 episode of Sunday Today with Willie Geist. “I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place,” she said with a laugh, after which she commended how smoothly co-parenting was going with her exes. “It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we’re killing it. The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”
The proud mother released a song and music video titled “Live Forever,” which is inspired by the “absolutely consuming joy Ryder was for me” at his birth. “I was so young when Ryder was born, I look back and marvel; I was almost a kid, too, so we were able to fall in love with growing up at the same time. And when you listen to the song and watch, it sweeps you up like someone’s arms around you,” she gushed. Her second-born Bing loves baseball and reportedly “makes good money” in stocks, while her five-year-old Rani is a budding fashionista. “I know NYFW is currently happening east coast BUT it’s a daily thing over here guys,” Kate wrote on Instagram in April 2022.
