In the age of the coronavirus pandemic, many businesses are looking for ways to entertain customers and make money. As a result, drive-in movie theaters seem to be coming back in style! Now, the Miami Dolphins have announced that they will let fans use their stadium as a drive-in theater.

The Hard Rock Stadium will soon be open to up to 230 cars as a drive-in. The stadium plans to show games in the team’s history, movies, concerts, and even commencement ceremonies. There will also be an open-air theater for small groups.

Hard Rock Stadium will become a giant drive-in

As of right now, if you’re interested and live nearby you can put your name on an email list. They will notify you when it is time to buy tickets for different events. The stadium has announced that there will be clean restrooms and food and drinks will be delivered to cars.

Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium vice chairman and CEO Tom Garfinkel said, “We’ve spent several weeks planning this to be able to provide people with a safe option to go out and enjoy movies, classic Dolphins content, concerts, and celebrate 2020 graduates. It’s a fundamental human need to physically experience and celebrate events and experiences together, and we’re trying to provide options for everyone where they can be safely socially distant and socially present at the same time.”

They also hope to be able to hold football games this fall. However, games will likely look a lot different this year! Hard Rock Stadium is working hard to make this happen though, as they were the first public facility to earn the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s STAR accreditation for their cleaning and disinfecting practices.

Would you head to the Hard Rock Stadium for a drive-in movie night?
