"I would do acting if something came up that I could put my realities into it, my challenges, if I could figure it out." His symptoms started out decades ago with a tremor in his pinky finger. According to Mayo Clinic, symptoms can range from minimal involuntary twitches like that, or they can progress to impaired movements, stiff muscles, debilitated balance, loss of automatic movements, and speech problems. In 2023, he released Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, an intimate look into his life and world since he was diagnosed. For Fox, remaining upfront and transparent is as important to him as any other part of his mission. Fox's primary focuses are his family and his foundation / ImageCollection "I decided to create this documentary for a couple of reasons, first bringing awareness to this disease has been very important to me for years and I wanted to continue that work through film," he explained, speaking with Us Weekly. "The second is for my fans. They, along with my family, been the reason I have been able to go on. As I say, my fans gave me life and I wanted to be open about mine."
