Bob Beckwith, a retired firefighter from the New York City Fire Department, gained widespread recognition after he was featured in an iconic photo from the ground zero scene of the devastating September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. He was at the right place, at the right time, and that’s why he’s famous,” Barbara admitted. “But he was a regular guy. Well-liked and quiet.
