76-Year-Old Morgan Fairchild Joins OnlyFans, And Her Reason Is Not What You Think

Morgan Fairchild discusses Dallas

Morgan Fairchild joins OnlyFans at 76. The ‘Flamingo Road’ and ‘Falcon Crest’ star explains what she’ll post and the side of herself fans never saw.

Morgan Fairchild spent the 1980s as the woman every primetime soap wanted in its most expensive gown, so the news she shared with TMZ on November 5 was bound to raise a few eyebrows. At 76, she has opened an OnlyFans account, the subscription site best known for racier fare, and she saw the obvious question coming before anyone could ask it. “I’m putting up new pictures and videos,” she told TMZ. “And before anyone asks, no, not that kind!”

She was born Patsy Ann McClenny in Dallas on February 3, 1950, and she has spent half a century playing glamorous women with sharp tongues and sharper plans. Now she is following her old friend Donna Mills, who made the same leap at 85 this summer and later answered the reports about her OnlyFans money. Fairchild says her account will look very different from what most people picture, and her reason goes back to something her fans may never have known about her.

Why Did She Finally Say Yes?

The push came from people she trusts. “Several of my friends started doing OnlyFans and encouraged me to try it. And they were right! It’s been so much fun!” she told Entertainment Weekly, adding that she was looking for “new ways to reach out to my fans.” Her new profile makes the same pitch in plainer words: “I’m having so much fun finding new ways to connect with people! I’m doing new pictures, new videos, and sharing my silly side!”

One line in that bio sounds more like a woman who has thought hard about modern life than one chasing a headline. “In a tech world that seems so isolating, I want to share our humanity,” it reads. Complex reported that she is launching the page with Creators Inc., the same management company that has guided other stars onto the platform.

Donna Mills paved the road. The Knots Landing star announced her own account on July 30, telling Variety that she was “excited to join OnlyFans because it offers the opportunity for a more personal and direct connection.” Mills promised “moments from my daily life, behind-the-scenes glimpses” rather than anything scandalous, and Fairchild is now walking the same line. The two go back decades, and in October they turned up together with Jaclyn Smith for a night honoring Farrah Fawcett.

How Did a Dallas Girl Become TV’s Favorite Glamour Girl?

Her first big break came in daytime, where she played Jennifer Pace on Search for Tomorrow from 1973 to 1977. In 1978 she showed up for a single episode of Dallas as Jenna Wade, Bobby Ewing’s childhood sweetheart. The producers later wanted her back full time, and she turned them down. She explained why to ReMIND Magazine this summer, a story we told in why she said no to a bigger ‘Dallas’ role. “I had a development deal for a show of my own that I would be a producer on,” she said. “So I decided not to do Dallas.”

By then she had already found the role that defined her. On Flamingo Road, which ran on NBC from 1980 to 1982, she played Constance Weldon Carlyle across 38 episodes, a spoiled rich wife who was usually plotting against somebody. The part earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a television drama. “I just felt so lucky at that time to be doing a series, number one,” she told ReMIND.

From there the blonde hair and the designer wardrobe became her calling card. She played the scheming modeling agent Racine on Paper Dolls in 1984, and the following season she joined Falcon Crest as Jordan Roberts for all 29 episodes of its fifth year. TVLine counted four different 1980s primetime soaps on her résumé. Two of those shows would come back around years later in a way nobody planned.

Who Warned Her Not to Play Chandler’s Mother?

In 1995, Friends came calling with the part of Nora Tyler Bing, Chandler’s flamboyant mother and a bestselling writer of steamy novels. Plenty of people in her life told her to pass. “Several people said, ‘You’re too young to play that guy’s mother, and you shouldn’t do that,'” she recalled to Entertainment Weekly in 2023. She told TODAY that the late Cicely Tyson was among them, warning her, “You’re too young to play that guy’s mom.”

Then she met her television son, and Matthew Perry changed her mind. “You won’t remember me, but I used to hang out on the ‘Flamingo Road’ and ‘Falcon Crest’ set with you,” he told her, as she recounted to TODAY after his death in October 2023. His father was actor John Bennett Perry, who played the sheriff on Falcon Crest, and Fairchild remembered Perry telling her the same about Flamingo Road. She went on to play Nora in five episodes between 1995 and 2001. “He was just so lovely,” she said of Perry. “He left a lasting legacy.”

Nora Bing was a woman who wrote racy books, and once embarrassed her son by trading jokes about her love life with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. It was a role that winked at the glamour girl image Fairchild had built, and her new venture winks at it again. This time, though, she wants to show the part of herself that the characters always hid.

What Does She Want Fans to Finally See?

Fairchild knows exactly how most of us remember her. “People know the characters, the clothes and the big hair,” she told TMZ. “They may not know what a science nerd I am or how easily my sister can make me laugh. I’d love to share more of that.” She says most of what she posts will be her “being goofy and talking about whatever’s on my mind.”

The science part is no gimmick. Away from the cameras she has spent years as an activist for AIDS and environmental causes, and in 2015 she spoke at a National Academy of Medicine briefing about the mild form of chronic fatigue syndrome she lives with. The sister is actress Cathryn Hartt, who co-hosts a podcast with her that Fairchild described to ReMIND by its cheeky title, adding, “and that’s basically what we do.”

For a woman who spent decades playing characters who always had an angle, the real Morgan Fairchild turns out to be the curious girl from Dallas who never stopped asking questions. “I’m still curious. I still love learning things, and I’m always up for a little adventure,” she told TMZ. “I don’t see why that should change now.”
