Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from husband Mossimo Giannulli, bringing their nearly 29-year marriage closer to an official end. The 62-year-old Full House star cited irreconcilable differences in the filing, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.

The filing comes about a year after Loughlin and Giannulli separated following decades together. The couple married on Nov. 27, 1997, and share two adult daughters, Isabella “Bella” Rose and Olivia Jade. A representative for Loughlin confirmed in October 2025 that the couple were living apart and taking a break from their marriage.

According to People, Loughlin filed for divorce on Sept. 4 and confirmed in the documents that she and Giannulli had signed a prenuptial agreement before their 1997 wedding, which was later amended in 2015. Loughlin has asked that the question of spousal support be determined at a later date.

Loughlin and Giannulli’s marriage endured intense public scrutiny during the college admissions scandal. The couple pleaded guilty to charges stemming from payments made to falsely present their daughters as athletic recruits to the University of Southern California. Loughlin served two months in federal prison, while Giannulli served five months. A source later told People that “things have never been the same” between the couple following the scandal and their prison sentences.

John Stamos previously defended Lori Loughlin amidst relationship troubles with Mossimo Giannulli

After news of the separation became public, Loughlin’s longtime Full House co-star John Stamos spoke forcefully in her defense. During an October 2025 appearance on the ‘Good Guys’ podcast, Stamos called Loughlin “a saint” and claimed that Giannulli had “dragged her through” the college admissions scandal, as reported by Fox News.

Loughlin, meanwhile, has gradually returned to public life and acting in recent years, appearing in shows including ‘Blue Bloods,’ ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and ‘When Hope Calls.’ She also returned to Instagram in August 2026 after a seven-year absence, sharing photos with friends, her daughters, and several of her Full House co-stars. Now, nearly three decades after she and Giannulli married, their longtime relationship appears to be entering its final chapter.
