According to PEOPLE, the wildlife conservationist spoke about Bindi’s health journey during the Disney 2026 Upfront event in New York. He explained that many people quietly struggle with endometriosis without proper diagnosis or support, making his sister’s openness especially important.
Robert described his sister’s decision to publicly share her story as both brave and challenging. He explained that she could have chosen to battle the condition privately but instead decided to use her platform to help others understand the illness and encourage conversations about women’s health. The television personality also said he hopes to continue supporting her efforts, however he can. He called Bindi amazing and explained that he proudly stands behind her while she advocates for greater awareness surrounding endometriosis and related health issues.
Bindi Irwin Continues Recovering From Years Of Pain
Bindi revealed earlier this year that doctors removed 50 endometriosis-related lesions from her body over the course of several years. She also explained that she spent nearly a decade living with severe pain before finally receiving a diagnosis.
Robert Irwin and his mother Terri recently shared updates on Bindi’s recovery after she missed the annual Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas. Terri explained that extensive travel still remains difficult for her daughter, although she continues recovering steadily at home in Australia. Despite the challenges, Bindi has remained committed to spreading awareness about the disease. She recently urged people to show compassion toward those living with invisible illnesses and emphasized that no one should have to endure serious health struggles in silence.
