The Academy Awards wrapped up on Sunday, and although many hoped Demi Moore would receive her first Oscar, it did not work out. The Best Actress award was given to Mikey Madison for Anora, to the disappointment of Moore fans.
Instead of brooding over the defeat, Moore spent the night snuggled in a robe, eating French fries, and being cuddled by her miniature dog, Pilaf. Her daughter, Tallulah Willis, captured the scene and shared it on social media as she called her mom “MY winner” with a French fry emoji. It was good that she did not spend it alone after all.
Demi Moore won other awards for ‘The Substance’ during award season
Even though she did not win the Oscar, Moore’s role in The Substance won her many accolades this season. She won major awards like the Golden Globe, SAG, Critics’ Choice Awards, and several others. Moore had spent the season reflecting on her long career and the fact that she once was only considered a “popcorn actress,” meaning one who could only entertain but not be seriously considered for any of the big awards.
She admitted that she had at one point felt her time in the industry was over, but then came The Substance. In an Instagram post after the Oscars, she congratulated Madison and thanked everyone who had supported her through the experience.

The Oscars outcome was met with mixed reactions from fans. Some fans were ecstatic for Madison, while others felt Moore had been cheated. “Truly happy for Mikey Madison, but Demi Moore was ROBBED,” an X user stated.
