TV game show Wheel of Fortune is currently on its 42nd season run with overwhelming ratings, which confirms that Ryan Seacrest, the new host, is doing a fantastic job.
Despite the smooth sail of the show, it seems all is not fully well, as speculations about its future have become increasingly high, with critics claiming that Maggie Sajak, the daughter of Pat Sajak, the former longtime host, is being tipped to take over as Ryan might not be at his job for a long time.
Sources say Maggie Sajak might replace Ryan Seacrest if his contract fails
According to sources, Seacrest, who began his tenure as Wheel of Fortune’s host recently, only signed a two-year official contract with the network. Just a few months into performing his duties, the show witnessed a boost that impressed production executives who are now seeking to negotiate a contract extension. Despite the offer being on the table, the 49-year-old seems to be playing the waiting game, putting the future of the game show in jeopardy.
However, insiders noted that Sony, while still hoping to work out the contract, has decided to be on the safe side by projecting Maggie Sajak, who has been a regular on the show and has even at some point been a guest host, as the perfect candidate for the hosting position when and if it becomes open.
Maggie Sajak is well suited to take over as ‘Wheel of Fortune’ host
For Maggie, who has been with the show in her role as a correspondent, engaging fans of the show through social media platforms to increase Wheel of Fortune‘s online presence, this speculation seems to be a move in the right direction.
